(new) GAY CITY TOUR IN LIMA

This is a new tour around Lima. We are convinced that walking is the best way to get aware about Lima's architecture and Lima's people. This tour is designed for whom like walking around the city in order to be in touch with local people.

From your hotel, we take a local taxi or public bus in direction to Plaza San Martin, the largest square in Lima. This square is very well known like a cruising gay area, especially in the evenings. From there we will start walking along the Jiron de la Union, a pedestrian street, in order to appreciate beautiful mansions and buildings. Then, we have a nice view of two impressive baroque monuments the Torre Tagle Palace, the La Merced church and San Pedro Church.

After that, we will have a visit of the Plaza Mayor, where we will appreciate different buildings such as: the Government Palace, the Archbishop's Palace, the Basilica Cathedral, and the Council Building of Lima. then, We head up to the Plazuela Santo Domingo Church with its beautiful tower, then, we carry on with the tour in order to get in the Central Post, to see its elegant architecture.

Then, we will head up to get in the Museum of the San Francisco Church, you will enjoy visiting the Choir Room and the Monks’ Library, the Sacristy, with its collection of Zurbaran and The Big Patio of the Main Cloister, decorated with Seville tiles from the XVI century, its beautiful Moorish arches and its subterranean crypts known as The Catacombs, where you will feel the presence of Lima's colonial past. Finally we will return to your hotel.
